Your Stay, Your Way

Celebrate Friendship

Give yourselves room to settle in with a Chetola Condominium, then start the day at the spa before strolling into Downtown Blowing Rock for coffee, browsing, and a little wandering.
Back at the resort, warm up by the fireplace, keep the night easy with dinner at Timberlake’s, then linger over a wine or mocktail at Headwater’s before s’mores and stargazing from the balcony.

Family Friendly

Choose a Chetola Condominium for the space of a rental with the ease and amenities of the resort, then begin with a walk around Lake Chetola and see if you can spot a swan or two.
Afterward, pick up a racquet for a family pickleball match or borrow rods to fish, then explore trails and ponds before dinner on-site and a sweet stop at Blue Deer on Main.

Romantic

Arrive and settle into your room, and if you’d like, send our team a note so bubbly is ready when you are, then unwind together with a Moon & Sun Couples Massage at the spa.
When you feel recharged, try clay shooting at the Sporting Reserve or learn to cast with a Fly Fishing Guide, then finish with a stroll through town, dinner for two, and a final toast at Headwater’s.

Outdoor Adventurer

Spend a day at Chetola’s Sporting Reserve for clay shooting, the pistol range, and expert instruction, then make fly fishing part of the plan with our Orvis-endorsed guides.
Round it out with a hike at Moses H. Cone or Price Lake and time on the Blue Ridge Parkway, then slow the pace with a paddle on Lake Chetola.

Leaf Enthusiast

Plan your trip for October when the High Country turns, then take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and watch the colors shift as the elevation changes.
Back at Chetola, book a photo shoot on the grounds, hike through the foliage, and toast the season at Headwater’s before dinner and s’mores by the fire.

Blue Ridge Parkway Cruisers

Make Chetola your home base for a Parkway week or weekend, then map out days to Moses H. Cone, Price Lake, Rough Ridge, the Linn Cove Viaduct, and Grandfather Mountain, with stops at the overlooks along the way.
Add West Jefferson or Linville if you have time, then come back to recharge with the spa, the hot tub, and an easy on-site evening, plus convenient EV charging when you need it.

Winter Explorers

Ski three nearby resorts with Chetola as your winter base, starting with Appalachian Ski Mountain about 10–15 minutes away with a shuttle option, then Sugar Mountain at about 30 minutes, and Beech under an hour with lively après at 5,500 feet.
Each night, return for the hot tub, heated pool, and sauna, then start the next day with breakfast at Timberlake’s and close the evening with a cocktail at Headwater’s.

What Guests Love Most

Beautiful Mountain Resort

“Amazing, beautiful, and welcoming resort. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Our whole family had a great time sledding down their hill and enjoying the resort amenities. The downtown area is so quaint. We look forward to coming back in the summer/fall. ”

Blowing Rock’s Best

“What a beautiful resort, the best in Blowing Rock for sure. My experience at Chetola has been wonderful. The views are spectacular, the associates are engaging and friendly; everyone enjoys what they do. I stayed here on business for the week and thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Chetola Resort is Amazing!

“Chetola Resort is gorgeous! The resort had a great look and lots of nice amenities. We ate at the restaurant several times, and each meal was so good! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable, and we enjoyed talking with the staff.”

Exceptional Year After Year

“This is a favorite spot to stay for our Anniversary each year. We like the Condo's that give us some privacy and room to spread out - though the resort is very nice too. We also enjoy walking, hiking and birding in the Moses Cone Manor Bass Pond area while here. We've come for probably 7 of the last 9 years and already have our reservation for next year.”

Excellent experience for first-time fly fishermen.

“Two separate wade trips, and both guides (Dom and Benny) were very professional, knowledgeable, and instructive.”
