TAMMY CARDWELL (massage therapist) is a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2010 and a professional member of the AMTA-NC. A Caldwell County native, Tammy studied massage therapy at Caldwell Community College, Boone Campus. She has worked in several day spas providing both relaxing therapeutic and deep tissue massages as well as stretching to help clients with problem areas. She enjoys learning new techniques and modalities to help improve the clients’ wellbeing. Some of her continuing education is in the following areas: Toxic overload-lowering body burden, Lymphatic, Aromatherapy, Myofascial massage, Deep Tissue and Hot Stone. Coming from a business and machine-based computer programming background of 27 years, she is enjoying the change in careers to something more rewarding to her. Tammy lives in Lenoir with her husband and a spoiled rotten doggie (Pooky). They have two grown children and one granddaughter.
 
CINDI CARON (massage therapist) is a North Carolina licensed massage and bodywork therapist, LMBT# 4990. She is on the advisory board of and a former instructor for the Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute's Certified Therapeutic Massage Program. Her own continuing educational training has encouraged her to specialize in therapuetic Swedish, deep tissue and lymphatic drainage massage.
 
KAREN IVERSON (massage therapist) graduated from Michigan State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science. She spent 25 years as a drug  and alcohol abuse counselor and social worker. She expressed her creative side as a stained and leaded glass artist. During this period Karen also provided Critical Incident Stress debriefing to emergency personnel suffering traumatic incidents. She went to New York with the North Carolina CISM Team following the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. In 2005 Karen graduated Caldwell Community College's Massage Therapy Program. Additional study and training in the healing arts include: Cranio-Sacral Therapy (pediatrics and adults, mouth work, CST around death and dying, somato-emotional release), Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, Matrix Energetics, Zero-Point Field Energy, Aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Pain Relief. Karen's favorite treatment is Cranio-Sacral Therapy because of its profound therapeutic effects. She enjoys finding just the right modality to help her clients relieve their stress and pain so that they may enjoy their lives more fully. In addition to working at The Spa at Chetola, Karen, who became Board Certified in 2013, maintains a private practice and has contracts with Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care and Google, Lenoir Campus.
 
DIANA LATENDRESSE (massage therapist and esthetician) began working at Chetola Resort 15 years ago. She earned her license at the Body Therapy Institiute and has been practicing massage therapy for more than 20 years. Diana received her Esthetician license from Mayland Community College and has been one of Chetola's head estheticians since 2006. Diana has lived in Boone for the past 30 years and has 3 children.
