Chetola guests can enjoy golf privileges at Hound Ears Club, just a short drive from the resort. This classic George Cobb-designed golf course is beautifully landscaped with streams, lakes and waterfalls. 

"Hound Ears" got its name because the rocks on top of the mountain behind the course stand up like dog ears. At an elevation of 3,800 feet, the course opened in 1964 and is one of the most scenic in all of the High Country. For a mountain course, the terrain is relatively flat, making the course a very playable level for golfers of all skill levels.

Golf season runs from May 1 through the last Saturday in October.  A full-service golf shop is available, featuring everything from golf fashions to equipment and accessories. The golfing staff also provides instruction should you wish to improve your game.

Your golf package includes two nights in Chetola Lodge, The Bob Timberlake Inn or a Chetola Condominium plus one day's greens fees and cart.  Our concierge will make all arrangements for your tee time(s).

Minimum stays

Three-night stay is required July 4-6, 2013. Two-night stays are required for all weekends and for all condominium stays. One-night stays are permitted Sunday through Thursday, excluding May 26 and September 1, 2013.
